Primary Function

Effectively provide work direction to all Breakdown Coordinators in the Maintenance department. Manage warranty claims. Process & oversee all warranty work and claims by preparing, submitting, and managing claim process for all maintenance facilities.

Description

  • Provides day-to-day management and/or operating oversight of the company maintenance administration department
  • Process, verify and submit all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation
  • Reconcile all warranty receivables, maintain warranty schedule, obtain and record all warranty payments
  • Maintain all service and records as required by the warrantor
  • Responsible for updating warranty records, including warranty registration and claim administration
  • Responsible for warranty processing and follow through of warranty claims from entry to final resolution
  • Responsible for generating and evaluating reports pertaining to the warranty claims on an as-needed basis
  • Oversee maintenance payroll, accounts payable and receivables, and all outside customer billing
  • Make suggestions and recommendations to immediate supervisor as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion of other employees to ensure quality warranty work 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management 

Skills

  • Knowledge of the transportation industry preferred
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to establish priorities 
  • Ability to identify issues and solve routine problems
  • Good analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document and report
  • Full knowledge of computer operations and applications
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment 

Education Required

  • High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor's degree preferred
